How to care for your Colour Block Rugabub Baby Bag.
Your Colour Block Rugabub Baby Bag is made from 100% recycled materials, including a water-resistant premium nylon outer and recycled polyester lining. With a little care, it will go the distance through every outing, every nappy change, every coffee run.
This guide covers everything you need to know to keep your bag looking and performing its best.
Everyday cleaning.
For everyday marks, spills and surface dirt, the water-resistant nylon outer makes quick clean-ups easy. No need to wash the whole bag every time.
- Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap
- Wipe the interior lining with a damp cloth, paying attention to pockets and corners
- Leave open to air dry fully before storing or reusing
- For the insulated bottle holders, wipe clean inside and out with a damp cloth after each use
Deep cleaning your bag.
When your bag needs a proper clean, hand wash only at a maximum of 30°C. Do not machine wash, as this can damage the nylon outer, the lining and the metal hardware.
- Empty the bag completely, including all pockets and the insulated bottle holders
- Fill a basin or sink with cool to lukewarm water, maximum 30°C
- Add a small amount of gentle, mild detergent and mix through the water
- Submerge the bag and gently work the soapy water through the fabric by hand
- Pay attention to any stained areas, gently rubbing with your fingers
- Rinse thoroughly with clean cool water until all soap is removed
- Gently press out excess water, do not wring or twist
- Reshape the bag and leave to air dry in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or heat
Caring for the change pad.
Your matching change pad is made from the same premium nylon and recycled polyester as the bag. Hand wash at 30°C maximum, or wipe clean with a damp cloth for everyday use.
After each use.
Wipe the change pad down with a baby-safe antibacterial wipe or damp cloth after each nappy change. Allow to air dry before folding and returning to the bag.
Caring for the gold hardware.
The golden buckles and metal hardware are a signature feature of the design. To keep them looking their best:
- Do not leave the bag wet for extended periods, dry promptly after any exposure to water
- Wipe metal buckles dry with a soft cloth after cleaning or rain exposure
- Avoid prolonged contact with harsh chemicals, sunscreen or hand sanitiser
- Do not submerge the bag in water for soaking
The extra shoulder strap.
Your bag includes an extra shoulder strap made from the same premium nylon. Hand wash separately at 30°C if needed, or wipe clean with a damp cloth. Allow to dry fully before attaching to the bag.
What to avoid.
To protect your bag and keep it looking its best, please avoid the following:
- Machine washing, tumble drying or dry cleaning
- Washing above 30°C
- Wringing, twisting or scrubbing harshly
- Soaking or submerging in water for extended periods
- Bleach, harsh detergents or chemical cleaners
- Leaving wet hardware to air dry without wiping first
- Drying in direct sunlight or near a heat source
- Ironing
Storing your bag.
When not in use, store your Rugabub Baby Bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep it empty and open slightly to allow airflow and prevent moisture build-up inside the lining or bottle holders.
