Characters play together. Stories get richer and scenes get bigger when there is more than one character in the world.
Display is better in odd numbers. Three on a shelf tells a story. One is a purchase. Three is a collection.

Gentle cycle, made to be loved for a lifetime
Meet Jill, your little one's first mate. Soft, gentle, and full of the kind of charm that stays with a child long after childhood ends.
Her name isn't just cute. In Australia, a female kangaroo is actually called a Jill, so from the very beginning, she carries a little piece of real Australian bush magic with her.
Standing approximately 50cm tall and crafted from soft, breathable 100% cotton with recycled polyester filling, Jill is designed to be held, hugged, dragged everywhere, and loved completely. Big enough for newborn snuggles, sturdy enough for toddler adventures, and beautiful enough to style on a bed for years.
But Jill has a secret. Actually, two of them. She has a pouch on her body, just like a real kangaroo. And a second pouch on her yellow floral romper, specifically designed to fit a miniature Rugaroo doll perfectly, so little ones can tuck their favourite character inside and carry them everywhere, just like a mother kangaroo carries her joey. It is the most Aussie thing we have ever made.
Pair Jill with My First Mate, Jack to complete the Australian duo, or explore the miniature Rugaroo doll collection to find the perfect character for her pouch.
The story behind this one
She has two pouches. One for her, one for her joey. It is the most Aussie thing we have ever made.
Jill is the newborn gift with a secret. The one that makes parents stop and say "wait, it does what?" The pouch on her body is just like a real kangaroo. The pouch on her yellow floral romper is specifically designed to fit a miniature Rugaroo doll perfectly.
Children tuck their favourite Rugaroo character inside and carry them everywhere, just like a mother kangaroo carries her joey. It sparks a kind of imaginative play that is impossible to replicate with any other toy in the world.
She has been bought as the coming home gift, the baby shower centrepiece, the birthday surprise that made the whole room go quiet. Parents tell us Jill is the toy their child forms the deepest bond with. The one that goes everywhere, for years.
Pair Jill with My First Mate, Jack for the complete Australian duo. She has the double pouches, he has the warmth, and together they are the most beautiful newborn gift in the country.

Customer Reviews
We love our rugaroo doll. It is such beautiful quality and such a sweet piece. We gifted it to a friend and she absolutely loves it!
My first Mate Jill the Kangaroo is perfect. Really huggable for little ones and not so little ones like me! She has a sweet kind face and a little joey in the pocket of her dress which is adorable. The attention to detail is amazing, so well stitched and the detailed finish on the hems of her dress is really neat and even the lace trim is carefully sewn. A quality heirloom toy that will cope with lots of play and hugs.
Great quality and beautiful looking. My 3 year old daughter absolutely loves it!
